The Fluxx
A digital travel, design and lifestyle magazine, founded in London in 2024. Aspirational, refined, authoritative. We write about the hotels we have stayed in, the cities we walk, the designers we ring.
The Fluxx exists because the conversation between travel, interiors, and the design industries had stopped happening in any one place. A magazine that reviews the Park Hyatt should also know who Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen is. A piece on Mallorca should also tell you the shop in Sóller that imports Loewe's basket bags. A profile on a Milanese gallerist should also tell you where in Brera to have lunch afterwards.
We publish weekly. The Club opens this year. The films and the In Conversation series have just started. There is more, in every direction, in the next letter.
Four things, mostly.
Editorial first
No press junkets, no paid pieces written into the prose. If we recommend a hotel, we have stayed in it, eaten there, complained about the lighting at three in the morning. The voice is one person, with help.
British, but not boring
Founded in London, run from London, written in British English. We cover the world from a Northern European desk, which colours what we notice and how we say it.
Slow over scaled
We publish less than the news cycle wants. We will never write about a hotel three times in a year so that affiliate income smooths out. The piece comes first.
Honest revenue
Where commissions are involved we say so, on the page, before the link. Brand partners are labelled. Member rates with hotel partners are real rates, negotiated quietly.
